when we do get our test score report, do they only give us our score (5 ?) and the # wrong, or do they also include a copy of our FR answers? Cuz I sure wanna see what I did. Also, do they give our raw FR score - like the # of points we earned per question?

you have to buy the free response booklets separately. However, if I understand correctly, your AP teachers will probably get a copy of the free response booklet. However, to answer your question, you only get your score (1-5) listed for all the APs you took on this paper. That's all.

Well this is CC, so the standards are high. Here's a perspective from a less ambitious student.

I thought MC was fair, but still decidedly harder than practice APs in review books and past APs.

FR was impossible. I wasn't sure on any of them or any part of any question. Not only was it hard to do, I didn't know how to do it.

The free response can be found online...

EDIT: I stand corrected--MC can not be bought no matter what.

You can't buy the multiple choice. Period.

In certain years, the multiple choice exams will be released. The next scheduled year for that is 2008, and it will only be released after the 2009 administration of the exam.

I think he meant you can buy the released ones. And thinking realistically, you probably could buy any multiple choice if you knew the right people...

-The Released Coot66

^No, you can't. Even if you knew the right people. XD

^oh come on. you could do ANYTHING if u knew the right people ;)

I was kidding about the right people thing, though you definitely could if you had the $ and the connections. Here's a link for where you can buy old MC...

@Loveholix: No, Form B is the alternate version that's given on the West Coast so that the East Coast test takers can't know the questions ahead of time. It's not meant to be a harder make-up, it should be the same difficulty as Form A but in my opinion, it really was more difficult. ;__;

I hope the curve works so that I'm not totally doomed...

Actually, the West Coast gets Form A also, and they start AFTER the East Coast students (8 a.m. Pacific = 11 a.m. Eastern). But the Pacific time zone students start while the Eastern time zone students are still taking it, so they don't have to worry about significant test leakage.

The Form B goes to folks who are at a significant time zone discrepancy. I've heard that Hawaii uses Form B (admittedly that surprises me), as does Europe.

On the other hand, the makeup test is never released. None of the questions, student samples, scoring, none of it. And you're never allowed to discuss the FR on it, not even 48 hours after the fact.

It wouldn't surprise me if they used the make up tests FR questions on the following year's Form A.

TheMathProf: We take form A. And yes, we start after east coast finishes, which is kind of weird I suppose o.O
What amuses me is, Alaska has to start earlier to make up for being further back in time, but we don't even though our delay is even bigger XD Maybe they just assume the education level in Hawaii sucks so bad, they don't need to bother -laughs-

haha. this is funny. so, you know how on the back of your free response booklet you can check that you don't want your work being used as examples? i originally left that blank because I thought, hey who cares if I'm used as examples i feel confident i'll pass the exam with a 4/5 and if i make a mistake, it'll help other people, as soon as i got done with number 2, i flipped the book over and checked that box to not show my work. i don't want to be embarassed

Aw man, I really hope the curve works, for us all.

That's hilarious, gar_spartan

WHAT! IN! THE! WORLD!!!!!!!!
I knew those questions were hard, but my teacher actually had to get online help with one of the FR questions. She's right. 90 minutes cannot be enough time. I was afriad I was the only person in my class who had trouble. Thank whatever higher power exists. I'm pretty sure we all got smoked.

MC...that was okay. I'm mostly counting on my calc active section to pull me up, but over all, I omitted like 3. Non-calc... okay, so I dropped half of them, but the ones I got,I made sure I got right.

As my good friend says on occasion... "Well, I wanted to go to college..."

To gar_spartan: They don't actually associate names with the work. The sample will appear as sample A or sample B, and will basically label the mistakes that were made.

One way to ensure that you're not picked for a question (as much as I hate to advocate this) is to leave part of it blank. =)

They really want to see unique student efforts for those, and I think I've only seen one blank student sample.

I have seen some posts about starting a chat room, but I am not familiar with this. Does this mean that we can go somewhere and discuss specifics about the exam? How do I do that?

woah if a teacher can't even do it, how can they expect us to??
i thought MC was pretty easy, but FR was just... ARGH. prolly missed like 20/54.
judging by all of these posts, there better be a BIG curve.
