hey guys so I am facing quite the dilemma, I didn’t fill 30 bubbles for non calc mc because I thought there were only 28 like past years, I’m hoping that i just forgot to do 2 but I’m scared that my bubbling was wrong instead. Does anyone remember what 29 or 30 were for the mc it would really ease my nerves to know whether or not I did them?
Multiple choice was pretty easy. But what the frik was that frq?? I did most of the previous frqs from past years and this year’s frq was extremely challenging, especially with the time.
@ObitoSigma Yea I agree. The MCQ was pretty easy. I was actually surprised that the calculator section was so easy because I, like you finished in 20 min. MCQ i think was high 30’s to low 40’s.
FRQ was scary: I think I did this way
1: 6/9 or 7/9, 2: 0/9, 3:9/9 or 8/9, 4: 2/9, 5:6/9 or 5/9, 6: 4 or 5 / 9
@averagewhiteguy In the same boat
For the past five or six years every BC class has gotten 100% fives(I’m talking 25-30 kids); our teacher is that good. This year we all bombed the frqs because they were totally different from what we expected and learnt, so rip my five.
btw we had form O
I had form O as well. I felt that the multiple choice was super easy and the free response were more difficult than usual, but doable. My score distribution is probably something like this:
MC: 44-45/45
FR: 1: 9/9
2: 8/9
3. 9/9
4. 8/9 or 9/9
5. 7/9 or 8/9 or 9/9
6. 9/9
Hoping for a perfect score! (although it probably won’t happen)
Nice job Bobert1
Those were some of the weirdest FRQs I have ever seen.
Let’s see…
- Never seen anything like #2 on the calculator section before.
- The calculations for #6 was not bad, but we’ve never practiced
anything like it before.
BUT… just like everyone else, I found the MC to be reasonable.
GTG, Macro’s tomorrow
Saying that college confidential kids are usually high achieving students, easiness of the multiple choice will be countered by the difficulty of the FRQ. Also, there’s four answer choices than five so more people will score higher on the mc section. Basically, I think the curve will be around 60-65%. I only got like 5-6 wrong on my mc but for the FRQ, I think I got 3/9 on 1, 1/9 on 2, 9/9 on 3, 3/9 on 4, 4/9 on 5, and 5/9 on 6…assuming I did my worst
MC was ridiculously easy so I had a feeling that the FRQ’s would be hard, and I wasn’t wrong. I answered everything with a pretty high level of confidence, but I gotta admit, those FRQ’s were much harder than they have been in the past…
I got Form E. (Got Form O for chem)
I took the Calc BC test.
I never had to deal with the Potato problem!!! (was it an AB only one? or did it show up on your tests as well?)
But I probably still messed up two of the FRQ’s.
Oh well.
I’ll probably still get a 5.
I only had to guess on one of the MC’s and that was 29 on No Calc (any other form E people? no?)
@awesome500, it was a BC one too, but for Form O
MC was super easy
Worst Case Scenario: 36/45 * 1.2 = 43.2/54
Best Case Scenario: 45/45 * 1.2 = 54/54
Open ended was RIP tho.
Think I got the below
Form O:
These q’s are not in order just how I remember
Worst Case Scenario:
9/9
1/9
4/9
1/9
9/9
5/9
Best Case Scenario:
9/9
4/9
8/9
2/9
9/9
7/9
So for me anywhere between 29/54 and 39/54.
Total for me anywhere between 72.2/108 and 93/108. I’m thinking it is on the lower end of that.
My worst case scenario still seems to be a comfortable 5, that really seems like the absolute worst I could have done, but then again I’m not 100% positive…
D18 had Form E. MC was easy and FRQ’s were difficult. Just like Form O.
I just went through my homework and I realized6 I screwed up the entire Potato FRQ up. I probably got
1: 4-6/9
2: 1/9
3: 9/9
4: 0-2/9
5: 4-6/9
6: 4-6/9
Worst case scenario 22/54 or Best case 30/54 lol…
I think I got 39-43/45 on my MC so
Worst Case is a 68.8/108 and Best Case is 81.6/108… I am hoping for a 5 on this exam
may i humbly ask… how do you know which forms did you get? and how many forms are there?
@lemagiqua, the Form letter was listed on the free response packet, in the lower right corner. Not sure exactly how many forms there were, but so far I’ve heard of Forms O, E, and D.
If you look at the sample FRQ on the course description, it’s a very similar version of the actual 2017 FRQ… too bad I only looked at it minimally the night before the exam
@tt8082 wtf no it isn’t. Not even remotely similar to the series question for example.
This was the series question on the Course description:
3. e function f is de ned by the power series

(A) Determine the interval of convergence of the power series for f. Show the work that leads
to your answer.
(B) Find the value of

not even remotely close to what the series question was.
