which one is easier? this would be an opinion, of course.

statistics hands down

I was actually wondering this myself, too.
What maths should you know to take Stats and get a good exam score?

w/ stats you only really only need to know some basic algebra ii and/or precalc stuff... at least at the ap stats level. stats should be easier, i'm taking it right now and i find it really straighforward.

yea but college's already kind of look down on AP Stat as a bit of a joke. THe calc bc will be worth a whole lot more in the long run

What is you do both?

now that i`ve looked over the course catalog at my school, i think the AP statistics would be easier, seeing that it can be taken after algebra ii, but like user_name said, AP calc bc may look better for colleges.

edit-> What "is" you do both?-> "if"

it
s perfectly fine if you do both. it would really help, actually, if you plan to major in a math-related field. colleges like it as well. it
s a two-in-one benefit. =)

I'm taking both and breezing through Stats and finding Calc BC a bit hard. In my opinion, Calc is a lot harder, there's too many situations.

Calc BC = difficult if ur not good at doing calculations
Stat = difficult if ur not good at memorizing concepts..

I found statistics way harder.

But then again I self-studied it.

stat is much easier overall, unless your naturally very bright in math and aren't too good with reading-type stuff

I'm taking both (test and class). I find stat extremely easy while BC is a bit of struggle...

but yea, a lot of colleges don't recognize the stat AP but almost all give credit for BC.

a large number of people at my school opt to take stats instead of bc calc senior year, so it must be easier. bc calc isn't terrible, but if you don't have a good teacher it's very hard to self-study. i think the basic difference is that calc is much more intuitive than stats. it just depends on how you think.

I find Calc easier personally, its more straightforward. Stats is more about thinking a problem through, rather than doing tedious calculations. Stats can be easier as you get to use the statistics package on the whole exam, and the formula sheet they give you is really helpful.

I am a freshmen taking Algebra 2 right now. By my Junior year I will be taking AP Calculus ab and for my senior year i don’t know whether to take AP Calculus bc or AP Statistics. I want to go to a college for game design and game art. Should i take Statistics or calculus bc?

lol honestly i have both stats and calc and calc was easier in my opinion. I could never get understand statistics no matter how hard i study because most stats is just inference while calc is a straightforward answer

I’ve completed calc BC already, and having it the semester after AB made it seem really easy. Then again, I have AP Stats now, and it’s still far easier than calc.

lol You guys bumped a 6 year old thread.
TheTstoner, take Calc BC senior year.
