So last year I took Calc AB and got a 4 in the exam. This year I'm taking BC, but I'm the only senior in my school as of now taking it, so I have to do independent study. I want to get a head start, so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on which prep books would help me?

My advice would be to review your Calc AB first. There is a considerable amount of Calc AB material on the BC exam. I'm not sure about prep books, as I've never used them for math. The Calc BC exclusive material isn't that much - only about 7-8 extra topics (parametrics, arc length, integration by parts, vectors, Euler's method, logistic diff eqs, Taylor/Maclaurin series, Polar equations) and can all be covered in about two months, meaning you can go over each topic a month.

Trust me, the best way to get a "head start" is to go over the fundamentals. A lot of people, from what I've seen, seem to forget their Calc AB when they get to BC and get screwed over big time.

All I did was read the Princeton Review book a week before the test. Enjoy the easiest class of your senior year.

ok thanks
i have been reviewing my AB stuff.
