I know there have probably been many posts about this, but I don't feel like sifting through all the threads. Can anyone give me the absolute best book for AP calculus AB preparation? Thanks.

Princeton Review...only problem is it doesn't tell you which parts are for the BC exam only. You'll have to use your judgement.

ARCO (=petersons now?)

I agree with ExRunner. ARCO's is by far the best because it not only gives you practice questions like the rest of the books, it also actually teaches you the syllabus but in a friendly-textbook kind of way, which I couldn't find in the others. I originally bought it off amazon because it got the highest user ratings and one of the reviews said that the book is so helpful that you can self-study calculus with that book alone. I highly recommend it! :)

what does ARCO stand for?

I like PR, although i don't have any ARCO experience.

lights_out - ARCO is the name of the publisher. The book is called Master the AP Calculus AB & BC Test.

How is the Barron's book for Calc?

Thanks, autumneffect so petersons and arco arent the same , like exrunner said?

They aren't the same, but I think they both publish the same AP Calc book...it's written by Michael Kelley and I think it was publisehd first by Arco and later by Peterson. If you see Master the AP Calculus AB & BC Test. by Michael Kelley then you've got the write one.
