AP chem, AP physics B, AP physics C, rank them from hardest to easiest!!

i'm taking physics C and chem next year, and have taken physics B so i would like some comparisons

AP Chem. is the hardest test I’ve taken in my entire life. I self-studied for it, and I wouldn’t recommend doing what I did. Then again, I really procrastinated, but you know how it is.

Anyway, at least take the class if you’re going to take the test. If I did that, I might have done all right. Are you taking the class?

ap chem is rly easy, ap physics b is harder but its really easy for Me ahaha for some reason. i was actually the only person in my class to get a 5 lol but i don’t like to brag… lol. ummm physics c m and e/m are really easy the curve is easy, i got fives. anyway if i jhad to rate them from easy to easiest it would go:

physics b
physics m
psysics e/m
chemistry

EDIT: just to be clear i got a 5 on all of them, also on ap calculus bc/ab sub, ap euro, ap ush, ap english lit, i think thats all
doUble EDIT: also i got a 2340 on my SAT, but i took it once and didnt study
TRIPLEDIT: no, i really REALLY dont like to brag, this post was so hard for me to type, i know it mightve been hard for u to read but just imagine how much harder it was for me to type and then u can feel sorry for me

but ap stats is rlly hard i only got a 4

good job iwaswalking!

lol ap stats is hard? i’m taking that next year tooooo
mechanics is harder than e/m??

lol, ■■■■■.

pigs at sea, he is ■■■■■■■■.

hey thanks for the congratz pigsatsea i’m always glad to help : )

yeah AP STATS is a killer, none of the stuff was really very intuitive and i didnt want to learn the material because it was b0ring so it was hard, BUT there’s sooo much time so it’s also easier…

e/m is really easy the, the, the multiple choice was easy. you just gotta learn the stuff, like stats its not sow intuitive but its enjoyable to learn. mechanics has more harder calculus and problem-solving and tough crazy problems. E/M is predictable

EDIT: hey stephennn i’m not ■■■■■■■■, i’m just presenting all the facts so my anecdotes will have more context and therefore meaning. get off your high-horse please!!!

wait so are you ■■■■■■■■?
i loled because you’re from ohio

so chem isn’t really that bad? that’s what i thought

yes, im from Ohio. chem really isnt that hard, there’s alot of material to cover but the problems are all very basic in my opinion (no pun intended). just use a review book or something and be able to do stoichiometry easily. you gotta work those numbers!!!

high horse? lol, hardly. i’m just guessing you’re a ■■■■■ from things you say like “rank them from easy, to easiest, to most easy” and using 0’s instead of O’s. if anything, you would be on the high horse… especially because AP stats is (by general consensus) easy.

chem was easy for me, but i really loved the subject.

the difficulty of the exam depends largely on your level of interest in the subject.

i smell dogs right now
i don’t even have a dog

i AGREE stephennn but i choose to type in this manner because it is liberating, ask e.e. cummings about it maybe. i know AP stats is purported to be easy! but as you said, interest level is a big deal. i think that stats isnt an easy subject to be interested in for most people because its dry, but chem is exciting and you can do experiments so most people will be more interested and that will make up for the material’s higher difficulty level!!!

I think when someone starts referencing e.e. cummings in their typing style, it gets a little weird/■■■■■-like…

But if you think those tests are easy, that’s good for you, and I hope you actually think that/took them as opposed to ■■■■■■■■, haha.

hardest to easiest,
Physics C, Physics B, Chemistry…I’ve never taken Physics C though and its actually 2 tests.

The first post was funny, but now I’m afraid iwaswalking is serious. The edits were laying it on pretty thick; I was 99% sure it was a joke. Anyway, I have no idea. Physics B is hard. Physics C requires more math/harder math, so if you’re an amazing math person, C will probably be easier, if not, the other way around. Chemistry just sucks.

i agree with silverchris. he is looking less and less like a ■■■■■.

iwaswalking’s style of ■■■■■■■■ is in his presentation; the things he says are generally true. A good example is his “chances” thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/625651-penurious-typing-library-help-me-find-match-schools-serious.html

YARRrrrr she figured me out.

hardest to easiest: Physics C, Physics B, Chem

Chem really isn’t too bad.

Chem is an easy test, not because the material is easy, but because the curve is massive.
Physics B is a joke. I purposefully did NOT study for it so I could focus on Physics C. I got a 5.

Physics C depends on two things: 1) your calculus background, 2) your physics background. If both of these are good, then you can get 5s on both Mechanics and E/M.
I’m pretty good at calculus (5 on BC as a sophomore), and good at mechanic-physics, and I got a 5 on Mechanics. I’m not too great with Electricity stuff because its harder for me to analyze things I can’t mentally picture (and electricity is harder to picture than actual everyday objects), but being okay at math helped get me a 4.

So from easiest to hardest:

Physics B
Chemistry and Mechanics
E/M.

Know however, that the Physics stuff varies from person to person GREATLY, based on calculus knowledge and physics Background. If you’re bad at math, Chem will be the easiest, and then Physics B, then E/M will probably be slightly easier than Mechanics. If math is your thing, the Physics exams will all be a joke.
