AP Chem necessary to go into medicine?

Hi,
Scheduling classes for next year starts soon, and I'm going to be a junior next year. I'm debating on whether or not I should take AP Chem or AP Bio next year. This year I'm taking Honors Chem, and I'm doing pretty well in it. Is Honors enough for college? Bio is definitely much more interesting to me, and I'm very unsure of whether I should take AP Chem, because the current AP Chem teacher is retiring after this year, and will be replaced with another chem teacher at our school who has no experience in teaching AP Chem and is not a great teacher. I'm very worried about taking AP Chem because of this, as I also want to do well on the test. Also, if I decide to take AP Chem next year, that means I have to take AP Bio and Honors physics senior year, along with four other AP's. I'm just really worried, since choosing to take AP Chem is very uncertain. But I also worry that not taking it will hurt me when I'm applying to colleges. All of my friends have told me not to take it, but I still don't know what to do. Please help!! Thanks in advance. :)

Both chemistry and biology are important for premeds.

If you can’t fit both in, take Bio.

Perhaps try a self-study? Although I’d assume that AP Chem is a rather difficult topic to do a self-study on…

Well, college have introductory courses for both. Whether you choose one or another, it will be a good choice. I am taking AP Chem now and next year (senior year) I’m taking AP Bio.

Taking AP Chem or Bio won’t make or break you for college.

If the teacher isn’t good, don’t take it. Try to take ap biology
