Is it good to take AP chem in junior year? I heard AP chem is one of the hardest AP classes that you'll ever take.. is this true? I'm debating whether i should just take chem at my community college or just take AP chem as a junior next year.. which one would better prepare me for the SAT II in chem..? I'm aiming for a 700+ and i wanna apply to a combiend med program.. so I need the best preparation possible and that would probably be if i took it at school.. but AP chem is very difficult.. and that runs the risk of bringing down my GPA... not doing well on the AP exam.. etc... eh.. What should i do?

its only a good class to take if ur teacher has a good history/record. AP chem is one of the harder classes to teach and its one of the harder APs

I'm a junior now, in AP Chem. I love it, it's my favorite class. It's hard, but it's not impossible. You've taken basic chem before, right? If you are good at math, and you like chem, you'll do well, or at least be more inclined to study. I just took the SAT II for chem this morning, and it was a breeze. I say go for it, and get a tutor if it turns out you're in over your head.

Edit: Shrek2004 is very correct. My teacher is amazing, and that's probably why I'm doing so well. Look into this.
