For the past school year, I've typed detailed notes of every chapter of my class's Chemistry textbook. So, lately a ton of people have been asking me for a copy of my Chem notes. I'm considering sending out a my email later tonight to a bunch of people, but I'm worried that by sending my hard work out to all these people, I'll be squandering it. I want to help everyone out, but is it worth it? What would you recommend if you were in my position?

I didn’t take AP chem this year, but if it’s people on this board, I’d send them out. I don’t think helping others would directly harm me in anyway, so I have no problem sending practice tests, etc. I do understand you put a lot of work into them though. My view is if I send someone something, and then do well on the AP, maybe it’s a sign of good karma lol.

I think we’re all on CC to assist each other, get information, get advice. I say you share the notes, as you’ll be helping a lot of people and giving back to this community. It would make me feel good inside, at least. If you do, I’d love to see them as a review.

Give them out. Giving them to ~20 people won’t mess up the national bell-curve.

They’re your notes, do what you want with them. Personally I would give them out, but if you feel that the other students don’t deserve the notes then that’s fine as well.

As long as you get a 5, then it’s worth it haha.

Send them! Why not help other people? Also, I think that the process of writing/typing notes and thinking about what to include is much more helpful when studying than just reading other people’s notes, so it’s not like you’re squandering your hard work.
