AP Chem or AP Bio

So I’m going to be taking AP Chemistry and AP Biology my junior and senior year. My question is which should I take which year? Both classes are known as the hardest classes at my school (besides the AP Physics and Calc classes). I’m generally much better at biology. I got a 103 in Honors Biology my freshman year. I’m currently in honors chemistry right now with an A. See, at first I thought I should take AP chemistry my junior year right after taking honors chem my sophomore just so it would be fresh n my mind. But then I realized that while your senior year grades and classes matter, they’re not really as important as your grades junior year. So does this mean I should take the class I would get the better grade in in junior year (ap bio) but maybe not do as well as I could in senior year (with ap chem)? If it at all matters I want to go to UChicago.

Also, I want to take an (AP) Physics class before I leave for college just so that I don’t go into college without knowing nothing at all about physics. To fit this into my schedule I’m planning on dropping Latin IV (only 3 year of a foreign language are required at my school to graduate). But I realized that if instead of taking AP US Government I could take regular Government (but I don’t know…not taking the highest rigor possible makes me uneasy) which is one semester and fit AP Physics in without dropping Latin IV. Would it be more beneficial to take AP Government than to take 4 years of Latin?

Sorry this was so long.

It is best to take AP Chem immediately after H Chem because, as you said, the information will be fresh in your mind.
You don’t have to take the most rigorous courses in every subject. If you are interested in science, it’s more beneficial to have the three core sciences (chem, bio, and physics) than to take AP Government.

Just like IAmNotCreativ said, its best to take AP Chem while you still remember the material well. However, don’t think the class will be easy just because you did well sophomore year, I thought that and I learned the hard way.

definitely chemistry then biology. Ap Physics is extremely intricate. Ap Latin looks extremely well on applications. I heard Ap Government isn’t to bad.

I was actually in the same situation as you are. Excelled in Honors Bio, excelled in Honors Chem, then had a dilemma about taking AP Chem or Bio. Honestly, I would definitely say that you should take AP Chem your junior year. First, it will still be fresh in your head and the amount of information that transferred from honors to AP Chem was a lot (at least at my school). Second, I feel like AP Chem is regarded as a more rigorous class in general and the AP exam for it is much harder. Currently I’m a senior and taking AP Bio, and it’s not too difficult. I am also taking AP Physics and it’s pretty involved.
