& Why?
Thanks :)

AP Chem is more difficult. It has a lot of mathematics in it. My chem teacher, who also taught AP chem and was extremely good at it, said that your typical grade in calc AB would be the same-ish grade you would get in his class. There are a lot of concepts and formulas you need to remember. AP bio is also difficult, but it is more lab and reading based. Remember, there really is no such thing as an easy AP. pick the one that best suits your capabilities-good luck

If you’re better at math, AP Chem will probably be easier. If you’re better at reading (comp), AP Bio will more likely be easier for you. It just depends on what you’re good at! If you’re good at both, then I think chem would be harder, just cause I feel like it’s easier to grasp biology.

I’m taking both this fall, and AP Chemistry is considered one of the most difficult AP class. AP Chemistry requires a strong algebra background and require at least 1 or 2 hours of study time each night. The concepts in Chemistry can get confusing because you have to tie it to math. AP Biology this fall will be less memorization than in the past, and the AP Biology curriculum will focus on broader topics that relate to each unit. AP Biology does require patience because of the content and the reading. It isn’t easy and it isn’t hard so studying is required. The AP Biology curriculum will incorporate more math related situations into the picture, but it isn’t topics that should worry you. Don’t take each class lightly, because each one has it’s easy and hard times. Also remember that class rigor differs from school to school. The AP Biology class at my school could be harder at my school than at your school based on the teaching methods. Both classes are fun and interesting. You should pick one because one is “harder” than the other. Pick the one that you’ll enjoy. I’m doing both because I couldn’t pick one and really loved both. I don’t know if this is just in my school, but in AP Biology you get to dissect cats. In Chemistry the Electrochemical cell lab is really interesting, along with the dreaded Titrations of acid and bases!
