And which one is more interesting? I plan on taking either one my Senior year (along with Physics).

From what I’ve heard, they both have their moments. I think AP Bio is interesting, but some people prefer chem. It depends on the person though.

Bio is memorization, Chem is math.
Depends on which one of those you’re best at.
Generally, Chem is considered slightly harder.

As far as tests (quizzes, test, AP exam) and labs go, which one do you beleive to be less stressful, and a bit more enjoyable?

Depends on what you like more , Honors Bio, Honors Chem
Your strengths: Memory vs Math
Work Ethic etc

It all depends. In my Honors Biology class only a few kids got A’s. In my Honors Chemistry class, many got C’s and B’s and a few A’s. Some people are either good at one or bad at the other. Personally, I did better in Biology so I decided to take AP Biology this fall. In Chemistry I felt like I understood the material and the math, so I decided to take AP Chemistry in the fall also. AP Chemistry is more math oriented and the class also require a lot of reading too. When I talked to the AP Chemistry teacher on the last day of school, she says that we’ll be done with Chemistry I in five days. AP Chemistry in fact does require students to have good problem solving skills and be able to have solid math skills. The AP Chemistry teacher is suppose to educate you in Chemistry not math. So, make sure you (if you do take it) have your math skills down packed.

AP Biology on the other hand is nothing but reading. The material is fascinating, but in order to know about all the fabulous facts, you have to read, read a lot. AP Biology also requires students to have problem solving skills too. The labs aren’t too hard and they’re kind of fun. Especially dissecting the cat at the end of the year. Many students take the AP Biology route because they claim it’s “easier”. The difficulty of these classes depend on your school, but actually, AP Chemistry is a lot harder. You shouldn’t decide on classes by rigor, but on interest. I’m assuming that you’ve taken Biology or Chemistry. Using your knowledge on Biology and Chemistry, pick the class that you felt you understood the material the most.

Bio = memorization
Chem = similar, but more of reasoning. and the math in chem is middle school level.

most people at my school say chem is harder but idk. chem more interesting i’d say

Yeah I assume you took Bio and Chem before your senior year, so which topic did you have an easier time in? I personally like Bio better

AP Chemistry and regular physics or AP Physics B will complement each other, since topics on gasses and thermodynamics may overlap. Chemistry would actually be a little more useful as a science in college anyways, so I would pick AP chemistry.
