We’re starting scheduling for senior year and I planned on having a pretty full schedule including AP Chemistry. This year I’m in AP Biology and freshman and sophomore year I just took a lower level honors chem and bio class. I want to have a very strong foundation in bio and chem as I want to go into premed in college, but that means that I couldn’t take physics in high school, there’s just no room in my schedule. How much would it matter and is it a bad idea to take AP Chem?

Pre-meds need to take physics in college and compete against each other for the A grades needed to have a reasonable chance of medical school admission. Physics in college will be more difficult if you have not seen it at the high school level before.
You need to take Physics as a premed…I would definitely take it in HS.
More than having to take a physics class, some schools’ (looking at you, Penn) intro chemistry classes rely just as much on physics as they do chem, so taking physics would also help bulk up your chem background.
