Hi all, I’m taking AP Chemistry this year; unfortunately I have a pretty crappy teacher, and will need to self study A LOT for a 4/5. Does anyone have any advice for what I should focus on/what to do to be prepared in May? Thanks!
Ouch! AP Chem is hard enough, but to self study because you have a bad teacher? Read, read read the book. Study the book. Zumdahl is a great AP Chem textbook, but not sure what you have. Take notes while you read and DO NOT MEMORIZE (except ions and solubility rules). Understand the concepts. WHY does this do THAT? Now even though the teacher is bad, take advantage of him one on one. Ask any questions you just can’t understand one on one, and it would most likely benefit you.
Best of luck!
