Better Textbook for AP Chem Class

So when signing up for AP Chemistry on the required book list it said that you could use either the college edition of Zumdahl’s Chemistry 7th edition textbook or you could purchase the Advanced Placement edition of the same book. I was wondering if there would be any huge/noticeable difference between the two options, and if that is so, what would be the better textbook to purchase. Any help is appreciated.

Brown/Lemay! I wish my chem teacher gave us this option. Zumdahl is okay, but Brown/Lemay made the content so much more understandable. You can find a PDF version online (first link when you Google “brown lemay pdf”), but it’s missing around 30 pages. Pretty sure I ended up buying a physical copy off of Amazon for $17.

I used Zumdahl this year, despised it, and felt unprepared for the test. We did problem sets every night. The problems were all absurdly hard too. I remember one required knowledge that smaller ions are more electronegative (or something like that) to solve, and that knowledge was NO WHERE in the text (I read it like 3 times to make sure). Zumdahl sucks.
