AP Chem

My High school has 2800 students and we have three AP chem classes totaling about 80 students.

This year we currently have a class of 20, in a school of 2,000.:P

~ Theos

I’d say between 200-225 - there are 9 classes of AP Chemistry here. :)

we have like 1500 students in our school, and there are 2 ap chem classes with 20 ppl each

We have about 35-40 students enrolled in AP Chem at my school. That’s a HUGE number, considering last year there were 7 kids in it, and our school only has about 700 kids.

Funny story: So, when we started reviewing for the AP Test, my teacher gave us the basic outline, how many multiple choice, free response, etc questions there were. She came to the realization that you can only use your calculator on a few questions. She says, “Oh, I guess we should have spent less time doing math equations and a lot more time on concepts! Ha!”

It’s her first year teaching AP Chem. I didn’t think it was very funny.

AP Chem is only available to Sophomores in my school. There are 225 sophomores. 22 out 225 are taking it.

whoa I wasn’t aware this was the case at other schools.
is ap chem just that horrible? (I took ap bio last year, and it has a reputation of being a killer, yet it’s packed every year).
I’m in AP chem right now, but I hate it.
we had around 20 kids. A few flunked and dropped out, and some just dont even show up… so around 15?

shush. my teacher is teaching ap chem for first year too… we are around 2-3 weeks behind and we have no idea what is going on. STILL. haha. now that’s funny. oh. and he didn’t even major in chemistry.

The teacher here said AP Chem and AP US History have the worst averages for scores on the AP test. What’d you guys get who have taken it already?

6 took is last year, 11 this year? avg chem ap score for our school is over 4 every year, we have an amazing chem teacher.

It’s going to vary from school to school. The teacher at my school is known for his bad teaching skills and 90% test worth of grades.
