***AP Chemistry (2016-2017)***

@wishstar12 and @ awesome2020 sig figs matter for only one answer which will be random. You won’t lose one point per problem, just one point from the FRQ section at max.

Disregard the two above comments, it begins in 15 hours and 34 minutes lol.

@Awesome2020 Last year the requirement for a 5 was a 79. Very, very harsh grading scale.

Yes, however I have noticed a pattern in that the 2014 curve was higher, and it was lower in 2015, and then very high in 2016, so I’m hoping for a low curve this year, but that means the test will be harder :frowning:

@Awesome2020 You’re hoping for a low curve?

Why did I take this class…The anticipation for this test is killing me!!!

But take note with a higher curve (last year) more people got a 5 than with a lower curve (2015).

Sorry my bad I meant to say high curve as in the cutoff for a 5 is at a lower score, like 70 is the cutoff for a 5 instead of 79 like last year,

Sorry me too, I meant the same thing.

Are the ten field questions mixed into the exam?

Yeah I think they are the ten hardest multiple choice questions randomly mixed with the rest of them.

What are field questions?

10 multiple choice that are same every year and are not scored. Used for standardization of the test.

Good luck to all for the test tomorrow and may the force be with us.

No way!! The curve was a 79 last year???

I’ve been getting consistently mid 70s on all practice multiple choice from previous years and about the same for FRQs too. I thought I was in good shape to get a 5 easily. Is this not the case or was last year an outlier?

At this point, cramming would just be too late. My advice for everyone would be to have a solid 8 hour sleep and wake with a fresh mind. A good sleep could mean the difference of a 4 and 5. Also remember to bring gum (helps brain think), snacks, several pens and pencils, charged calculator, school ID, and pray to whichever god you believe in.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE, WE GON’ NEED IT

Wait so 10 of the multiple choice questions are not graded at all, and, hypothetically, if you were to miss all 10 of them, you could still get full credit for the MC section?

Good luck everyone!!!

Just got out of the exam. Happy to have survived! How did everyone else think t went?

I predict I got a 2

Everything I skimped on studying for ended up being the most prevalent on the exam. I am dead
