My AP Chem teacher told me that I will get more college credit if I send my labs to the colleges so I can place out of lab sections. Is that true and how much more credit on average would I get than if I only gave the college my AP score?

No college I know of would allow you to place out of labs by sending your AP labs to them.

Actually, some colleges might not grant you the credit unless you show them the labs.

Basically, some of the more prestigious colleges would want to see your AP labs before giving you credit just to make sure that you have achieved a certain level of lab skills.

It makes sense, because even if you get a 5, but can't do any labs, that grade is pretty much worthless.

Out of curiosity, can you tell me which colleges actually do this?

I would think that, if anything, prestigious colleges would not care to see your AP labs because they probably are not nearly as rigorous as the college level course's labs.

Actually, what you said is probably right, as I haven't really researched this topic. All I know is that some of my older friends who graduated said that they could place out of lab sections with examples of past labs. I'm not sure to what extent they could have done so, but it just means that if you do have your AP labs, it would be a good idea to bring them with you.

Yea my AP Chem teacher said to write our labs down in a separate lab notebook so that we may get credit at college. IDK if I am gonna get it, but oh well.
