I like AP chem, but I think that's because
1) I'm a chemistry geek
2) I'm a math person
3) The teacher is very organized and cool

I think the teacher who's teaching your class matters a little, so think about that. And yeah, what you're good at: memorization or critical thinking?

bio is not straight memorization. a lot of the essays deal with applying those facts you memorized to other themes, like evolution. the circle of life, baby.

plus, if you are not mathematically inclined, the multiple choice on the chem can really kill you.

At my school everyone gets a 5 on the AP bio exam. Bio is a hard class, but I liked AP chem much more and I think it was harder. Much fewer students get 5's on chem than bio, but I think my preparation in AP chem has helped me do better in AP bio this year. Of the two classes, I think chemistry is the best and most gratifying.

Our school doesn't offer AP chem, but it does offer Chem Honors, which is one of the hardest classes offered. I think my greatest achievement was finishing that class. Both classes are great.

I love AP Biology. I would like to take AP Chemistry next year, however, I am not that advanced it math (although I am doing well: A). Would this be a problem? I would think that the math is just pretty basic, but there is a lot of it?
