I'm in a bit of a difficult situation. Right now, I'm at a solid four - around 60% - with little guessing. I haven't really studied for the exam at all. My teacher has given us two practice tests and on the first I got a 61% and on the second a 63% (just the MC). I just took one on my own and got 67% I know that a five is around 65 to 70%. In three weeks, how do I get my score up? I'm so afraid to guess... when I take an AP exam, I am always absolutely sure that I know it because when I guess, I am always wrong. I usually, at 60% correct, only get one or two wrong. I don't know how to study! Or what strategy to use. Chemistry is my worst subject... for my history AP tests, I don't think about strategy at all. Help/advice would be appreciated.

Learn all you can about molecular geometry, entropy, and inter/intra molecular forces. They are really fundamental to chemistry. You have three weeks though, so don’t sweat it. What areas do you fail at? Acid/base chemistry, themiochemistry, stochiometry, lab based, anything? PM if you need more help, because I have learned chem pretty well this year (usually near 90% on MC, do well on everything but reactions in FR lol). My teacher is really good, so I can give advice she’s given our class to you.

Ha! We should take the test together! Reactions are about the only thing I can get perfect on, other than equilibrium or acid base FRQs.

I am very confused about molecular geometry and entropy. I tend to fail I know IMFs very well. My teacher is great, but she only came back from maternity leave two weeks ago, so we’re all a bit underprepared. I also am pretty bad at organic chem… but that’s not much of the exam…

Do you know the VESPR model, or at least that valence electrons repel each other and find take the spot the greatest distance away?

Yes, I know VSEPR and most of the geometry. I just don’t understand the angles! I have no idea why the heck trigonal pyramidal is 109.5 etc. And those questions ALWAYS confuse me.
