AP Chinese

For those of you who took the AP Chinese test this afternoon, how did you do? How well do you guys think you prepared for the test with the unfortunate lack of prep material?

How was the iBT format? Did it stink for you as much as I have heard elsewhere?

the reading section was 60 mins long, and all of us finished that section in 20 mins. i thought we could just move on, however we couldn't do anything about it, so we just sat there and waited for 40 mins. after 40 mins' passed, I was ready to move on. however it says "now u'll have a 10 mins break." so I just sat there for another 10 mins. it was so boring......

by the way, I hate this test. It's not testing how good ur Chinese is, it's testing how fast u can think of a response. and those listening questions were stupid. even native Chinese speakers need to struggle a bit on some questions, b/c some of them were vague and ambiguous.

i wonder how other people did on this test; especially for those whose first language is not mandarin Chinese.

I totally agree with miemie. The test was not there to test you about Chinese at all, it was all about response speed. I definitely did not walk out of the FRQ feeling like I had presented my best. I can speak fluently and all such, but I doubt even my parents could come up with the answers in the time alotted. But that said, maybe they'll give us generous curves.

The test also tested alot of patience. I was in there for 6 hours, first because we had to wait for calc ppl to finish, then I had to call my high school for my student pack code b/c I was taking Chinese in another hs and my packet wasn't sent yada yada... and I wasn't the only one. Then we took forever to start the test because the administer had to log us on and all that checking. It was tedious. Not to mention that the MC really took only 15 minutes and the rest was spent trying to fall asleep, which didn't work at all...
