AP Classes in Senior Year

From what the people around me had said, everyone should take their AP classes during junior year because it looks better for college… Since when a student sends their apps, it will not include the entire senior year… So should I just take all the AP classes during my junior year? or shud I just take them during senior year… But many people are telling me that senior year doesn’t really mean much…

If there is a full range available, you should take them as early as possible and throughout your high school career. If your school has just a few and you're aiming for top colleges, take the APs as soon as you can and move on to classes at a community college or local university.

Senior year DOES matter in terms of "strength of schedule". The colleges will see what courses you are taking senior year. If you took 4 or 5 APs junior year and then PE and Art senior year, it would look terrible. You want a balanced schedule which shows you take advantage of challenging courses offered. Schools are different- at many private schools only a few APs are offered to juniors. Most APs are for seniors. At S's school very few seniors take a full load of APs. Someone strong in the humanities might take AP Lit and Gov/History but maybe not AP Calc.

So up to what marking period of senior year is actually included in the transcript that the school sends?

and does anyone know if "Rutgers School of Pharmacy" in NJ is any good?

So, Mom, you're saying that if the following is my courseload, it would be frowned upon.

AP Calc
AP Chem
AP Physics
AP English Language
Band
Participation in Government / Economics (Required)

That's not a fair assumption, because people take a class that they really really like for themselves, as opposed to a class they are required to take.

see, if it looks bad that as a junior i take 5 APs, and only 4 my senior year, it would be unfair because i have classes, like practical arts, PE and health that are required to graduate. shouldn't colleges take that into consideration? i would much rather take more APs, but another limiting factor is that i will have taken every AP my school can offer, and we are not allowed self study.

That schedule is fine. There are many kids admitted to top schools who take only a couple of APs TOTAL. Some private schools aren't even offering AP courses anymore. Just take a rigorous courseload for your school.
