AP Classes senior year.

Im about to be a senior and my current schedule is
AP English Language
APUSH
AP Calculus AB
Honors Chemistry
Advanced Biotech.

My senior year i plan on taking
AP Calculus BC
AP Chemistry
College Writing
Graphic Design
And i dont know whether i should take AP Physics B or C.
I have never taken a physics course before and i want to major in engineering.
I dont want to take an ap class to skip it in college so i know either way i'll be on track.
Im just scared im gonna enter AP Physics C completely lost.
O and the AP Physics C course is Mechanics year long. No E&M. If that makes a difference. And im posting this here because idk where else. Haha

Physics B is more of an overview course that is more rigorous than a typical high school physics course, but does not use calculus. AP credit from it will not be useful to an engineering major. However, some universities’ college physics courses do assume a high school level physics background, which this course will (more than) give you.

Physics C mechanics concentrates just on mechanics with calculus. AP credit from it may be accepted for a semester or quarter of physics for engineering majors at some universities.

I would not take AP Physics C cold, I know ucbalumnus has been posting this on multiple threads. Our high schools only have AP Physics B. If you have never taken physics take AP Physics B. Physics is not an easy subject, ie not an easy subject to get A, and it depends on the teacher.
Edit to add our schools send multiple students to Caltech and MIT each year. One girl graduated from MIT and became Rhodes Scholar(no slouch).

Yes, have to agree that if you have never had physics before and do not plan to use the AP credit to skip a course in college, the overview of B would likely be more helpful than C mechanics. (B can be thought of as a better high school physics course.)
