I’m a sophomore and I’m planning on going into a law career (either as a lawyer or forensic psychologist).
I’m already taking AP Psychology and AP English Literature.
In junior year I plan to take APUSH, AP Gov, and an undetermined third AP class.
In senior year I plan to take AP World History, AP Biology (possibly), and at least 2 other undetermined AP classes.
Basically I need help filling in the undetermined parts. I’ve seen a lot of different suggestions for choosing AP classes (e.g. it’s good to have a variety, STEM related classes should be taken, etc.) but I was wondering what’d look best for me when I’m applying to law schools. There’s some AP classes I want to take because they seem fun (like AP Art History) but I don’t want to load up on unnecessary classes.
Law school doesn’t care what you do in high school. Law school cares almost exclusively about your college GPA and your LSAT score. (Law school also does not care about whether you have any job prospects after graduation.)
Hope you like it. To sum it up, they recommend AP Social Science courses, AP language courses, and AP art courses the most. Obviously, like you said, it is a good idea to mix it up while taking courses that relate to you.
