Next year I’m going to be a junior and I’m considering taking 3 AP classes. My schedule would be: AP Lang, AP Spanish, APUSH, Anatomy and Brain Science, Pre-Calc, Yoga (first semester), and PAWS (Second semester) I play volleyball in the fall and then once volleyball for school ends I play club which is from November to May and practices two times a week.
My questions are: Will taking those 3 specific AP classes and my other classes be too much on top of playing a sport and still wanting a social life somewhat?
And finally, how hard are those AP classes specifically?
No, you should be fine.
You probably already know this, but a lot of it depends on your own proficiency in those subjects.
AP Lang will involve a lot of timed writings and critical reading.
APUSH will probably involve a lot of textbook reading and memorization.
AP Spanish depends on your proficiency in the language - if you’re proficient, you should be fine.
That’s pretty similar to mine for next year, also a junior
AP Lang
APUSH
AP Seminar
H Chinese 3
H Spanish 5
Precalc
Cermaics (for the credit)
German 1 (online)
I don’t know what to expect from AP Lang, but I know APUSH is a lot of work… like a LOT…
I’m taking AP US History, AP Lang, and APUSH my Junior year. It all depends on whether or not you procrastinate, your teachers, and how well you do in classes. I’d say if you have mostly A’s and B’s you should be fine. Several of my upper class friends say AP Lang is a joke; you write a few essays and learn literary terms. APUSH, at my school anyways, is considered the hardest AP class, but only because there is a lot of work involved. AP Spanish I think it would depend on how skilled you are in the Spanish language. If you have time for the work, I’d definitely say go for it because it will definitely save you time in college, provided you’re going. I range from grades middle to high A’s and I’m taking on three AP classes as well.
AP Psychology
AP US History
AP Language and Composition
Whatever you do, good luck!
