For someone going for a BFA as a film prod. major, which of these AP's (if i get a four or better) would be useful for college credit?. They are: AP US History, AP English Lang and Comp, AP Psychology, AP Gov, AP MacroEconomics, AP English Lit, and AP Euro History. Thanks for your time.

The BFA in Film Production major is offered through the Tisch School of the Arts. To check out the AP credits/course equivalencies for Tisch use this link: [Undergraduate: Tisch School of the Arts at NYU](<a href=“Undergraduate Admissions”>Undergraduate Admissions)
Navigate to the right side of the page under the “What’s Happening” banner, click on the “Bulletin for the Tisch School of the Arts 2009-2011” link, and go to page 197.

Even BFAs have liberal arts requirements, so that’s what some of your APs will fulfill.

D is in Tisch Drama, and even though her AP scores were all 4s and 5s, there are some APs NYU gives credit for and others it does not. They don’t give credit for AP English Lang and Comp or for AP Human Geo. They do give credit for AP US History, AP English Lit and AP Bio. Can’t recall the others, but it struck me as a strange list of credit/no credit. Even for AP Latin there was some restriction, like only credit for a score of 5. For the senior year APs, she ended up just skipping some of the tests, as she wouldn’t get credit. (Some hs teachers give lower grades for skipping the test, so proceed with caution.)

This was back a year or so ago, so best to follow the link above to get your specific classes with current info. It seemed she had to get the scores into the school before the end of freshman year.
