Community College Credit?

Does anyone know if NYU accepts credit for community college classes? My high school has a deal with a community college where we can take classes there for both high school and college credit that will transfer into the liberal arts and sciences requirements for any public college in the state. Those classes and the professors that teach them are about a million times better than the AP classes at my high school. I will only have three APs but about twelve cc classes by the time I graduate.

I will be in Tisch if I go to NYU if that makes any difference. Thanks!

NYU will only accept college classes taken during high school if they were not used for high school credit, and I think that the credit that you would get would be dependent on the classes themselves, so some might be accepted but others may not.

Am I right in reading that as meaning it should transfer as long as it doesn’t count as credit towards high school graduation? If so, I will have to make it a point to take another science and more history. I could have graduated this year and took a two semester chemistry class and European History in lieu of what was offered at my high school. Intro Physics and World History should do the trick. I would like to be free to only take gen ed classes I WANT instead of the broiler plate stuff if I get my grandparents to pay all that money for Tisch. It looks like there is no way around the “Writing the Essay” class that I have seen referred to as a “soul killer.” haha

Thanks again.
