AP Comparative and US Government question?

Hi

for the first year at my school, comparative and US government are combined, meaning we are meant to take both AP exams.

i was thinking i should only take the US government one, because the comparative one conflicts with my AP French exam and i do not want to take a makeup exam.

also, i feel that preparing fully for one exam would be more beneficial to attempt getting a good enough score to place out of government in college, as opposed to taking both exams and spending half the time preparing for each.

i am not required to take the tests, but i do have to pay 89 dollars for each, which is another reason why taking one less would not be bad.

my parents want me to take both though. any input? thanks! (by the way, i am in 6 AP classes total.)

You’re already taking 6 other exams (im assuming?) so adding another one (especially a History one at that) will be horribly stressful.

Plus, i hear the make up exams are slightly harder, so you definitely dont wanna go with that option =)
