***AP Computer Science A 2015-2016 Thread***

I absolutely agree with majority of you. I thought FRQ was hard and multiple choice was alright. I am also hoping for a forgiving curve.

Well, I have to study for AP Calc BC, APUSH, and AP Bio! I guess I can’t worry about this anymore :frowning: Good luck on the rest of your exams guys!!

What would a forgiving curve look like? I know that a majority of the times the curve has been somewhere around 75 percent for a 5, how different could it look this time around?

I thought the free response was a bit difficult too, especially compared to previous years. The multiple choice was thankfully easier.

whoo! both sections were really easy (’:

what D:

I found both sections absolutely horrendous. The FRQ more so than MC

Did you put an answer with (10,20)
and One Roman Numeral Question which was all three
Frq was p hard

The FRQ was not that bad tbh, logically it was pretty easy, it was only hard because 80% of the time was me trying to think what the question was even asking me to do lol.
I feel like my solutions could have been way more efficient if I had more time.

@aabbccmoneysing Yeah I remember that one, put down (10,20).
Overall I thought the MC was alright. FRQ absolutely killed me. Had no idea what I was doing for most of them. Will be thrilled with a 4, but expecting a 3.

@Honickmonster i think I put that down too, but i dont remember I honestly thought (10, 20) was an answer for a mock I took. ffs I dont even know anymore

I think I got a 64/80 total score worst case scenario… Is this good enough for a 5??

I think based on 2009 curve yes @johnjohn99

I didn’t even do #3 and I barely got through #1b. I had such a hard time with the free response! The multiple choice was fairly easy to me.

I had an easier time with the frqs tbh. I hope I got above a 30/40 on the mcqs.

Honestly I thought the whole test was a breeze. Very fair and no different than any of the released exams.

In fact I think some of the MC’s were the same copies from the 2015 released exam

I think the multiple choice questions were rather easy, the FRQs were a pain.

Number one was definitely a bit tricky but not unreasonably difficult. Other than that they were extremely straightforward.

I felt that this years frq’s really required a lot of attention and reading and understanding all the things they say. I mean if you look at 2015’s frq’s you can take 10 sec and immediately be like the first free response is about summing up the values in a 1-d array and 2-d array. But like this year I spent more time trying to understand what it was asking because the question was vague, and long.

The FRQ wasn’t necessarily hard so much as it was long. It was objectively longer than last years, and it was extremely difficult to implement that much code that quickly. Had we been given two hours for that section it would have been much easier. I felt like the MC was easier than previous years. Counting on that curve to makeup for my poor FRQ performance.
