I'm planning to take AP comp sci in my junior year; however, I have basically no knowledge of any programming in java or c++. I was wondering if it's going to be really difficult? Maybe someone who took it before can tell me?

Is it a real class at your school? If so, then you’re completely fine. I went into the class with no knowledge of programming (and I still know nothing about computer hardware or engineering), but I learned a lot, enjoyed the class, and am now adding comp sci as a double major.

If you have a logic/math oriented mind then it will be pretty straightforward, even for a non-programmer. :)

I signed up for plain computer science for my 9th grade elective. I want to take AP comp. sci. in 10th grade. Do you think AP comp. sci. is going to still be hard, or will it be easier since I would have already had a year of comp. sci?
