AP courses vs. Community College courses

<p>Interesting article (I've read it previously), but it doesn't answer the question for admissions, just for placement. It focuses on whether kids with 5's should place out of Harvard's intro science courses, not whether they should have gotten into Harvard. Different question.</p>

<p>And I daresay that Harvard's intro courses are significantly different than those at most CC's. (I wonder if Harvard would accept CC classes to place out of their intro science classes. I tend to doubt it.)</p>

<p>If I feel like I will be prepared to take the AP Lit. test after having only taken the AP Comp. class junior year, would taking a more advanced English class at a state college in the place of the AP Lit. course be better (application-wise), assuming I do well on the AP Lit. test?</p>
