hi so I just finished my sophomore year in highschool and i took chemistry and government//rcon this year and biology last year and I was thinking about taking AP chem and AP bio next year and was asked about AP government or econ next year and I was wondering if that’s manageable?
It would be more helpful if you list all your proposed courses for both junior and senior year. But based on what you wrote, I would suggest taking AP Bio one year and and AP Chem the other. It does not matter which you take first.
I do not recommend taking both AP Bio and AP Chem concurrently. In addition to the time commitment required by virtue of being AP’s, each requires a lot of time for labs and lab reports. For many schools, these classes are either double-periods, or require additional time before/after school.
What would your schedule look like?
In any case, don’t take AP Bio and AP chem together. If you really want to double up, take AP Bio or AP chem alongside honors physics then the other AP senior year.
are you planning to take Physics of some kind in HS? That would determine whether you should double up on sciences. AP Biology is pretty hard and AP Chem is very hard and with labs the work is very time consuming.
