Example:
I get a 4 on Microeconomics AP test. My current university gives me Micro econ course credit.

My transfer university(s) only accepts 5s on AP tests.

Will my course credit transfer over the new university?

If not, do I need to take microeconomics even though I already have credit at my current college? Or will taking an intermediate level micro econ substitute?

Microeconomics is a prerequisite for many business school transfers.

If the transfer university doesn’t accept your AP credit, they are fully within their rights to require that you take that course if it would be part of your regular program. However, it is possible that they might not require it provided you take a more advanced course at your current institution before you do transfer if that course is either part of the regular program or if it can be substituted for the other one.

Since none of us know what the individual policies of the universities that you have applied to are, we can’t give you good advice here. Get in touch with the departments that you would be transferring into, and ask them specifically what you should do.
