Would like to confirm two things regarding AP credit for Calculus AB: that a “3” or higher score will be sufficient, and will that meet the Math requirement at Robins or will another, higher class be required?
A 3 or higher on Calc AB gives you credit for Math 211 (Calculus 1) and fulfills the symbolic reasoning field of study (general education) requirement for all UR undergraduate students, regardless of major. There is no higher level math requirement. Note, however, that business economics majors are strongly encouraged to take through Calc 3 (Math 235) or even higher level math, especially if they are considering grad school.
Although you should feel free to ask one of the councilors, I’m confident that you’re set on math if you just want to do a B-School major such as a BSBA. Calc 212 (Calculus II / Calc BC) is not explicitly required for any of the B-School majors. You will of course have to take quite a few monetarily-focused applied math classes - some of which may be considered hard - throughout your studies, but no more “normal math” courses will be required. Note that you may be recommended to take some more math by your advisor if your life objectives seem to require it.
If I might ask, what do you intend to study in?
