if you kinda look at it APs are useless. They don’t count towards gpa but they are good for skipping classes. But y not just take the easier classes and get As so it wwill be easier to get into grad school.
<p>They count for GPA. You get extra points for UC's. Plus colleges look at the strength of your curriculum, they want to see you taking the hardest classes possible.</p>
<p>I think UClippers05 is saying that it won't affect your college GPA... If you take those basic classes in college, you can get easy A's to buffer up your college GPA for grad school.</p>
<p>But the thing is... it's kind of hard to get into these prestigious schools without a lot of APs.</p>
