AP Credit?

Hi, I'm a student going into my first year who is currently signing up for courses. I was wondering if medical schools accept AP credit for humanities (for example, AP music is listed as a humanity at my school). I looked on most sites and they only had directions for the AP math and sciences. Thanks for your help!

Since medical schools don’t require humanities courses as part of their admissions requirements (with possible exception of Keck), I doubt you’re going to find any guidance on this topic.

Aren’t there a few others ? Maybe Hopkins?

Probably, but I don’t have MSAR access right now.

Hopkins is humanities or social sciences.

OP–this is going to be a individual med school thing. You’re going to have specifically ask at each medical school you apply.

Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind :)

Edit: Also, thank you for the prompt response!

Some schools are going to begin to require psychology and sociology (IU will as of 2014 for example) so it will depend on the school. If you determine a need for a psych or sociology class you can always take an upper-level class to satisfy the requirement.
