AP Credit

I believe that only 2 AP credits can be redeemed (dunno what other word to use) at Pomona. Is this true? And when do you decide which you want to use? Thanks.

The College has two rules. A 32 course rule and a 30 course rule. To graduate, at least 32 courses must be taken. 30 of those must be taken at the school. Thus, only 2 APs are really applied. However, if you double major or something to that effect where you must take more than 30 courses, you can apply more AP so long as you take at least 30 classes at Pomona

They also use APs for placement and advancement (is this even a word??)...if you search the pomona forum for "AP credit" there's a thread from last year that is helpful.

yea, for ex. if you took ap psych and got a 4 or 5 you can skip intro psych. you can look up specific subjects in the the course catalog to see if your aps will help you out in whatever classes you're taking
