Would I receive unit credits for AP courses that I take again at USC? If I received a 5 on AP Biology and I decide to take general biology at USC, does that mean I will get 8 credits in all? If someone can help clarify this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Yes you will. Whether that does you any good beyond allowing earlier registration for classes is a matter of debate. Since AP Bio is one of the few classes that will get you out of GE requirements, I would personally recommend taking the freebie and using the extra 4 credits on an upper division bio class or a decent elective.

Except if you are a premed. Medical schools do not accept AP credit courses for basic medical school requirements such as 1-year bio, 1-year chem, 1-year phys, etc..
