What AP Credit Can I Get?

I just got my scores and I'll be majoring doing a B.S. in the Biological Sciences:

Calculus AB: 5
Government & Politics (United States): 4
United States History: 5
Biology: 3
Physics C (Mechanics): 3
Chemistry: 3

I didn't study for the chem or biology because I thought I would have to take it anyway with my specific major...but I read on the USC website that you can still fulfill some general requirements or something? With those poor scores in chemistry and biology, I still want to take those classes over so that I remember everything, but can I only just get general credit?

I'm hoping that, despite my major, I can fill up some credit through my 3's...

You'll get 4 units for each AP (so 24 total) towards your degree, but looking at those, it doesn't seem like you'll be passing out of any GEs. I'd strongly recommend retaking chem and bio if you want to remember everything. Calc 1 is required for your major, so your Calc AB score should pass you out of that class, but you should definitely speak to your advisor to clarify everything.

you would have gotten out of the category 3 GE (science) requirement if you had gotten a 4 on any of chem, bio, or physics.

but that's irrelevant because as a science major you have to take bunches of more courses that would fulfull cat 3 requirements anyway

I think if you get 4 and above on AP euro u get out of one GE requirements.. too bad u didn't take it??
