AP: Does it really matter?

Hello,
I am a MCS major who was accepted under ED1.
Not surprisingly, I`ve caught senioritus and am suffering from it.
Some of the APs I am taking are AP Art History and AP European History.
I highly highly doubt that I will get above 2 in AP exams this May.
Is it possible for CMU to rescind my admissions?
Thanks!

I thought you were in DC?

I was invited to SHS program and am planning to declare my primary major in MCS.

Beat your senioritis! You can do it! It’s also good preparation for next year, where the workload will be much greater.

That’s not how SHS works. I was admitted into SHS as well and have a good grasp of h ow it works. If you get into DC and sign-up for SHS, DC will still be your home college. Your primary major must be within DC and your second major can be in MCS if you choose.

tl;dr - Being in SHS does NOT make you an MCS student.

Ok I get it.
Now, does anyone know the answer to the question?

They won’t rescind your admissions since they won’t know about your score, but it’s a pretty big waste of time to take an AP course and not at least attempt to get a 4 or 5.

^ This. Also, a 2 corresponds to 20-30% so you should definitely be able to score higher. I took the Euro exam (after taking the class) with almost no prep and still managed to score a 5. AP Art History is a little harder, but you should be able to get a 4 (i.e. 60%) at minimum since you’re already in the class.
