AP Economics Macro vs. Micro

My school doesn’t offer a specific AP Econ course, just a generic “Econ Honors”, and I think with a little extra self-study, I could attempt an AP exam. I just don’t know weather to study for Macro or Micro. Is there a big, huge difference (in difficulty level, subject matter, prestige, exc.)? Any advice would be welcome!

from my friends who took it last year - macro is easier than micro

i've only taken macro in 1st semester so far - but it seems really easy

Econ is an easy course... It's mostly just common sense half the time. You should be fine with whichever you choose. If possible, you should try to do both. I plan on doing that.

What is the diffrence between the two?

Macro looks at the economy as a whole (employement, inflation...), micro just looks at specific parts of it focusing on companies, consumers, and markets... I think

Actually, Macro deals with the economy of a nation, while Micro deals with the economy of a business or enterprise. They are both very closely related because the topics that Micro deals with contribute to the bigger picture that Macro paints.

thanks for the help!
