I’m narrowing my top schools between Princeton, WashU, and Brown. Some like Princeton require 4 years of language but others recommend at least 2 (WashU).
If I enjoy both classes equally as much, does it seem better to take the more advanced finance class as it suggests more commitment than regular personal finance, or should I go for 4 years of foreign language?
I’m planning on going for premed or a biochemistry major.
Thanks for the help, first post!
For those colleges’ graduation requirements, Princeton requires foreign language to a specified level, so taking a higher level in high school may help complete the requirement in fewer courses. WUStL requires a three course sequence in foreign language (no mention of any exemption for having advanced placement in the language) or four courses from a related category, and Brown does not have a foreign language graduation requirement.
For AP economics scores, Princeton and WUStL allow 5 scores to bypass introductory economics courses; Brown does not.
The above information can be found on the colleges’ web sites. You can look for similar pages on other college’s web sites.
