AP Econ or Spanish V?

I'm a rising senior and I'm currently signing up for my classes I will be taking next year. Currently, my schedule looks like this(keep in mind that there are not any honors classes offered at my school, only AP classes as our alternative options):
AP Calculus BC
AP Computer Science A
AP Physics 2
English 12
Graphic Arts 1/2 (Required for year UC a-g requirements).
AP Macroeconomics/Spanish V
Would either one in particular stand-out more to admissions officers over the other as I am currently taking AP Microeconomics and I enjoy it; however, I have been told that taking Spanish V will help me stand out more for admissions as I am an OOS applicant.

Take Spanish V and self-study AP Micro (well I’m guessing it’s too late to sign up now).

I’m currently taking AP Micro this year, and right now my counselor will be calling UC to see if AP Computer Science would count as the year of Arts credit, but I doubt that will happen, which lead to me taking Graphic Arts 1 & 2 to fulfill the requirement. So if that does not occur, than I should take Spanish V, and self-study AP Macro?

I’m assuming since you made it all the way to Spanish V that you’ve taken 4 years of Spanish already? As far as college, admissions officers would see four years as plenty rigorous. It even will satisfy the foreign language requirement for many schools.

Another thing to consider is: does your school require economics to graduate? I know that my school does, and so that’s one thing to check.

Other than that, it comes down to personal choice. Do you like one more than the other? Would you rather take another year of Spanish, or learn about a newer subject (economics)? Taking economics might show more well-roundedness than taking another year of Spanish, but Spanish V would certainly look rigorous. Sorry, I know that’s probably not what you wanted to hear, but that’s how I’m seeing it now. Whichever one interests you more!

Spanish V for sure

Hmm, that’s a pretty tough decision. Is there anyway you can do a self-study on AP Micro?

I have only taken 3 years of Spanish so far in Spanish 2,3, and 4. So, that’s why I am thinking that taking a fourth year of Spanish would make my transcript more well rounded due to the fact that I am currently taking AP Micro. At our school, Spanish V is the same class as AP Spanish so they are very similar in structure except we aren’t expected to do quite as much work by not having to prepare for the AP exam.

Then why not take AP Spanish? :P

No thanks, it is already too late to add more AP classes to my schedule and I don’t see a reason to take AP Spanish as it would not apply to my possible majors. So, I guess taking Spanish V and self-studying for Macro is the best option?
My schedule from this year (Junior year) is:
Physics
AP Calc AB
AP English Lang
AP Microeconomics
Spanish IV
Music History/Web Design

Bump. So I’m guessing that Spanish V would be the better choice as opposed to AP Macro given that it is the highest Spanish class class offered besides AP, and it is the same class just that the class is divided for different activities the different classes will do.
