I got the "Cracking the AP Economics Macro and Micro Exams 2010 Edition Princeton Review" Prep book, and have started studying this summer for the AP test, but do I need an actual text book? I heard that the prep books explain a lot, but I took AP World History this year and it seemed that just the AP book wouldn't be enough. So what should I do, I REALLY need a 5 on macro/micro, like above any other ap exam. (my major is going to be economics)

I would suggest using Principles of Economics by Mankiw. It is a really solid textbook for preparing for the AP exam.

You might want to consider Florida Virtual School, they offer many classes to people out of state including AP Macro/Micro
