AP Economics vs. Intro to Economics (at the college level)

I'm crazy and added another course to my schedule, and it's a basic Economic Perspective course. I'm a little nervous about it because I took AP economics in high school and got like a B both semesters. Do you think that AP econ is much different than the intro economics course I'm enrolled in now? I might just drop it before the cutoff.

The AP and Intro leveled classes are very similar. I’m not sure with Economics, but I know that students who took AP Biology and then took BIO 100 in college did significantly better than students who didn’t. If you’re taking it as your major then I say skip it to the next class, or if you’re taking it as a gen-ed, then do it. It could benefit your GPA. Good luck!

Well I can’t speak for AP Econ but I have taken Marcoeconomics (at the college level) and I can tell you not to worry about that basic Econ classes. I put in minimal effort (Econ doesn’t have a lot to do with Biochem, so I focused more on my core classes), didn’t always go to class (bad teacher), and didn’t have to study to much. The material was basic and easy and I ended up with a B for less effort than any AP class I had taken.
