ap english language !!!!

I expected a 5, but upon seeing the mere 5.4% that earned 5's last year, I thought pessimistically and expected a 4. Got a 5 :)

Pessimism is great in this respect beacuse if you do poorly, you will get what you expected and if you do great, it will be a pleasant surprise.

a little pompous arent u? musta worked wonders on ur AP essays. lol kidding

it seems like a much higher percentage of people got 5's this year than last.

i got a 4 and after the test i felt good about it except the fact that i took a practice test on which i got a 2 and in between i did no studying. My teacher also was so easy that she wuold never give me ne thing lower than a 8 which was probably deserving of a 3 or 4.

I think because this year was the introduction of the synthesis essay, they purposefully made the curve easier to compensate for the new component.

I expected a 4 and got a 5.

I am a naturally decent essay writer, but terrible at multiple choice, so I was expecting a mid four, got a 5 :)
cal though expected a 3, got a 5 :)
you never know w/ the CB....

Thought I got a 5 and did.

Expected a 4 in physics and got a 3, though =</p>

i think it's really hard to make predictions about the english language curve, because so many people take the test. I think it's the third most popular ap exam. Lot's of people on CC are reporting high scores, but I don't know anyone aside from me at that got a 5 on lang at my school, including a student who got a 5 on lit last year and a 4 on lang this year. I think the quality of CC students and the number of people taking the exam will still allow for a normal (as compared to recent years) distribution of grades. I think the same is true regarding APUSH grades, as the scores from that class at my school are almost always on the low end (most don't pass), yet CC is brimming with 5's.

The introduction of the synthesis essay like .illogic stated has created a slight influx of 5's this year... i believe they were more lenient this year..... at my school... i know that 4 people got 5's and no one has recieved a 5 at my school for years....

Thought I would get a 4 and got a 4. I gave into the collegeboard's demands and somewhat regrettably handed over $8 to this monopolistic money hungry corporation.
FYI I got a 5 in APUSH! SO HAPPY MY FIRST 5!

CC is full of nerds and geniuses! (I think im somewhat the exception however)

On practice exams I was always on the borderline between a 4 and a 5.

This year, I felt the MC was really easy (almost like SAT CR), with no "***?!?" passages. Also the essay topics were very generous. After the test I felt a 5.

exactly, I agree
