AP Environmental Science 2011

There was a question that listed five of the biogeochemical cycles as answer choices. Which one was the correct answer?

NOTE: In no way does the information provided allow you to determine the specific content of the question itself (assuming you didn’t take the test).

I doubt I will get docked any points since I did all the math correctly and arrived at the same answer lol. True it might have been unnecessary but I just happened to be thinking that way during the test

what was teh MC one about what causes freshwater shortages in addition to agriculture and industry? :/

all my answers wer really weird, like how beetles contribute to climate change, i just BS’ed how all these random things link up :{

I missed a lot of easy ones now that I think about it… and of course teh hard ones like that random Clause ?. ugh, no clue. what was the answer to the clause one and Gaia??

I’m pretty sure it was reduced to 20 percent

I used the same formulas as meganfoxftw.

Okay!
Yes, the test was a little challenging but I was most definitely prepared! I am feeling confident that I got a 5. If not, then a 4, but I will not be content with a 4.
I guess it’s safe to say that no one did the math problem on FRQ 2 but I doubt that will really affect us if 80% of the testing population skipped it or got it wrong.
I was lucky enough to have an APES teacher who literally gave us at least 1 lab a week and A LOT of work (that I considered busy work but happened to be very beneficial.) We did the LD50 lab a few days before the exam and I was so excited to see a question regarding the LD50 of a population.

Mesothelioma…I totally forgot what caused that disease. I would say I got 85/100 correct.

Did anyone figure out what the Gaia Theory was? I’m too lazy to google it. And what was the reason U.S has cheaper oil prices? I selected “because we have our own oil refineries.” I hated having 7 questions that I had no idea on, but then again, I was certain about my 93 other choices.

I had a Princeton Review book that I used a little here and there but my APES teacher prepared us like no other. This was definitely not an exam you could study for the night before.

Congratulations to anyone else who feels confident in their performance on yesterday’s exam! Now, the wait ensues!

I’m pretty sure it was reduced to 20 percent, but anyone who wants to confirm please do so!

Jordancohen- The reason why oil prices are low in the US compared to other countries is because there is a lower tax, the US has very few oil refineries compared to the rest of the world.

Guys update on the math question.
I was wrong on the first one. It was supposed to be 0.003 x 2.5 which is 7.5 to the x. And the subsequent answers can be found. Do you think collegeboard will dock me for all of the math questions? Or is it you miss the first one, and used that answer to get the other answers.

Wait it was 7.5 times something?? I got that and other thigns but was thinking I was doing something wrong, so i did some other work and got different answers…but i never actually circled anything (stupidly)…but yeah, is it possible I might actually get the point then? Even if i didnt make clear what i intended for my final answer to be…as long as the right answer IS somewhere there in the mess? lol i hope so…

Here are some questions I remember from the test. Feedback is really appreciated :)

the cycle that contains all the cycles… I put phosphrous cycle.

What were the questions about CFC’s and what answer did u guys put ( I forgot).

And that question on the taiga, decidous forest, etc. Question and ur answer.

I just hope I pass this exam. And I’m stressing about apush.

I thought it was water.
But… I don’t know.
Yeah, math wasn’t ridiculous. Just asked in a silly way.
And yes, Calc, APUSH, and Music Theory are what I’m the most worried about.
But, we’ll see. Wanna do that silly pledge where we agree to tell our scores?
I mean, I’m thinking a four, but would be THRILLED with a five.

The gag order as been lifted and the questions are up!
<a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board;

is there anywhere where answers are listed?

Unfortunately, I don’t think the answers will be posted until July or so. I hope I’m wrong though, but I asked my teacher and he said last year’s scoring guidelines were posted around then.

And I’m pretty sure it’s the hydrologic cycle (water cycle) that links all other cycles, for the person wondering about that MC question.

That question about why the US has cheaper oil…it’s because we don’t tax our oil like Europe and everywhere else.

My teacher literally complained about that weekly haha so I knew :stuck_out_tongue:
The gaia hypothesis states that all organisms and systems are interconnected.

Overall, I thought this test was pretty easy…I studied a lot though. I was a little iffy on the math section lmao but hey. I used the same equations as everyone else though so that’s a good sign. :)

I know that for calc and history there are teacher boards that solve the questions,
are there people who do that for apes?

And by my question above, I mean not the actual points or anything. Just like regular teachers who post what they would have as the answer.

Had 10 minutes cut off from the FRQ. Lost at most 1 point though, but that’s what separates a 4 and a 5.

Complained to collegeboard already.
