AP environmental science

How difficult is this course? I’m thinking of taking it either next year or senior year, but I already have a heavy load (4 AP classes both years with spanish junior year and research senior year). Will AP enviro in addition to these classes be overkill?

I am in AP Environmental science right now. I LOVE the course, but I am biased because I am a nature/environment nerd. You learn some really interesting stuff! What’s great about the class is that it is applicable to today’s world. You learne everything from earth science to ecology to pollution to renewable resources. While some people believe parts of the course to be boring (i.e waste management) I think the course is always interesting and enjoyable. The material is generally easy. You can’t get an A if you don’t study (it’s not THAT much of a blowoff class) The math can seem tedious to some at times.
As for the exam, I have heard the multiple choice is pretty easy. It’s the FRQs that kill people because they are lengthy and are EXTREMELY interdisciplinary. You will rarely have an FRQ on ONE topic. Instead, each FRQ draws from multiple topics in the course.

If you did well in bio/chem/other sciences, you should be fine. Good luck in the class!
I definitely recommend it
