Blah blah, whine whine whine.

So let me get this straight.

1) You’re bombing AP Euro. This is a High School that you say requires you to take this course, mind you, so imagine how you may do in college that requires you to take other courses? I can’t imagine you would do that well.

2) Your excuse for bombing AP Euro is that…daily quizzes and readings are killing your average. Instead of budgeting your time and studying for them like you SHOULD, you instead blame homework from all of your other classes. Mhm. Oh, and you also mention that your freshman year grades weren’t good as well…as if that’s supposed to be an excuse for your excessive arrogance.

3) What exactly were you looking for with your post? If it’s pity, think again. Many of us have been through worse, most of us aren’t going to go to Harvard, and the vast majority of us did better than you, and didn’t complain or insult our peers in the process. If you want reassurance…well that’s not gonna happen. The truth is, your grades are awful. If you get better grades from now on and rock your SAT (unlikely, considering the fact that you didnt rock them already and you obviously have academic weaknesses) you may be able to get into a low-tier college, but if your self-confidence is really that tied to Harvard or MIT (and if your performance is equally dependent on what classes you take) then you’re probably not going to like where you get in anyway because it won’t be one of those schools. I mean, you’re not going to get into Harvard. You’re just not. And before you make another "…we will see who ‘pwns’ who!!! " quip, let me save you the embarrassment. You have already been “pwned”. Any attempts to refute what I say will only prove my assessment correct.

4) People far kinder than I am threw out other options for college because admission to other schools is somewhat less “cutthroat” than Harvard or MIT, and your gpa would be fixable, so long as you can actually perform well. Nevertheless, you should be so lucky as to get into college with your performance and attitude. And you threw it back in their faces, saying that they ALL have no clue what they are talking about. Guess who else doesn’t know what they’re talking about - a sophomore with a 1360/2400 on the SAT’s who nearly failed freshman year.

So I strongly suggest you do some introspecting. You’re performing poorly in High School, you are going to perform poorly in college, and instead of seeing it as a pattern you blame everything else possible. Maybe you’re just not as smart as you’d like to think. Maybe you don’t know how to study. Maybe you should focus on that instead of closing doors that are barely open in the first place based on principle.

Resignation accepted.
