Because of DD's learning disability, it's helpful for her to have a personal copy of each textbook so she can underline, write in the margins, etc. I usually can find used copies at a reasonable price, but can't get under $100 for a used AP Euro Hist. text--yikes! Does anyone (maybe those who self study?) know of any sources for these, other than the usual online used book search engines? (I can see I'm going to be totally traumatized when it comes to buying her college texts.)

Well, this isn't exactly a textbook, but Modern European History is a good book to study by for AP Euro. It costs about $12 on Amazon. However, I would buy another book to go along with it. The book doesn't go into the depth that a textbook would...

Thanks, but I'm looking for the actual book her class is using, where her reading assignments will be, etc.--"A History of Western Society since 1300"-8th ed. I assumed, I guess wrongly, that all AP Euro courses used the same text.

I think AP Euro has the widest array of textbooks used. My class used a book about Western History, so after about 1870 the US played a huge role, even if there weren't really many questions about it on the AP test.

Actually, there's a huge discrepancy within AP Euro textbooks, the main reasons being that some focus more on political/economic, whereas others focus more on socio/cultural.

Did you try cheapesttextbooks.com? If not all you do is punch in the ISBN and it gives you the cheapest price on most sites. We have to buy our own books for school and I've gotten the price knocked down over 100$ from the standard price and the book I bought was brand new.

I found paperback version (different ISBN, so it didn't pop up at most sites) for $37! Thank you all.
